CROSSINGS is a collection of work by Roos Muis (1993, The Netherlands). With an academic background in literature and international politics, Roos’ work explores the intersect of the internal and the external world through the lens of the body. Her projects examine the dynamics between society and the psyche, the skin as a threshold between self and other and the role of the senses in a virtual age. Roos frequently collaborates with artist and dramaturg Olivia Lamont-Bishop on multisensory art projects, most recently Alone Together at the Battersea Arts Centre in London. At present, Roos is co-writing an article on forms of labour at the juncture of intimacy and money alongside tracing her lifelong love of water.

CROSSINGS is made of the many intersections of the private and the public, the individual and the collective, the near at hand and the far away.
